LAURA MARTIN
PIANO
Laura has been teaching piano for over 15 years and started playing piano at age 4. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Mars Hill College and a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy from Belmont University. She was adjunct professor at Belmont University for four years before taking her current position as Director of Piano Studies at Overton High School. She also enjoys the theater and has played lead roles in such shows as South Pacific, The Fantastiks and 1940's Radio Hour. She is a well rounded musician and has a unique teaching style that appeals to students of all ages and levels.

KATHY HULL
PIANO
Kathy is an experienced pianist with over 25 years of teaching experience. She holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Music Education from Mississippi State University. She is the Director of Summer Arts Plus at Delta State University where she teaches over 500 students during the summer. She was also voted Teacher of the Year by her colleagues at Hull Jackson Montessori School where she currently teaches music. Kathy is an energetic teacher and her students can't help but be excited about lessons with her!

REBECCA BOUCHER
VOICE AND PIANO
Rebecca Boucher has been teaching for four years and has always had a passion for music education. She received her Bachelors Degree in Vocal Performance from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and is currently pursuing her Masters in Vocal Pedagogy at Belmont University. She teaches classical, musical theatre and some pop. Rebecca has also studied the piano since she was five and is an accomplished piano instructor and performer. She encourages her students to experience different genres and does whatever she can to make learning an instrument and enjoyable and life changing experience.

DEIDRE EMERSON
CELLO AND VIOLIN
Deidre Vaughn Emerson was born and raised in the Birmingham, Alabama area. She began studying cello at age five. She received her Bachelors of Music in cello performance magna cum laude from Birmingham- Southern College. She received her Masters of Music in cello performance from the University of Houston in the studio of Vagram Saradjian. She has attended many music festivals both domestic and abroad. She has experience in multiple genres from classical, ballet, opera, popular, sacred, rock, country, fiddle, film scores, and many, many others. She now currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee as a full time musician via teaching, studio work, and gigging. She is also professor of cello at Tennessee State University.

KAREN HOGG
GUITAR
Karen has been teaching music for nearly 20 years. She has taught both private and group lessons at The National Guitar Workshop, The Lesson Studio in Colorado, and The International Studio of Music in New York. In addition to her teaching, Karen is also a performer and an author. She has written dozens of articles for magazines like Acoustic Guitar and Fretboard Journal. She has also written two books for Alfred Publishing: Guitar Made Easy and Women in Rock.
